Reports reaching out portal has it that, by June Ghana will receive 17 million more COVID 19 vaccines to add up to the ones already received in February.

This was announced by caretaker Minister of Finance, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu announced on Friday, March 12, 2021.

The first batch of 600,000 doses from the COVAX Facility has already been delivered and an additional seventeen million, six hundred thousand (17,600,000) vaccine doses to be delivered by June, with more to come in the course of the year,” Mr. Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu said during the 2021 budget delivery in Parliament.

Accord to him, it’s the plan of the government to receive over 20 million of these vaccines to “enable us to attain herd immunity by the end of this year.”
