First-year Senior High School students will report to school on Thursday, March 18, 2021, but effective academic activities have been scheduled to start Monday, March 22, 2021, Ghana Education Service has announced.
The date to fully commence the academic activities for the first-year Senior High School students on March 22, 2021, comes after the Education Service said it has postponed the previous 10th March 2021 school reopening date.
Cassandra Twum Ampofo, the Public Relations Officer for the Service in a statement copied to Educationweb.com.gh indicated the 4th batch of the Free SHS beneficiaries will report to school on Thursday, March 18, 2021.
According to GES, this will enable the first-year SHS students to have ample time to prepare for teaching and learning and also for Management of various Senior High Schools to prepare to welcome the fresh students.
The Service also indicated Heads of Senior High Schools has been asked to take a mid-semester break from Monday, March 8 to Thursday, March 11.
“This mid-semester break is not compulsory and so students who wish to stay on campus must be guided to adhere to school rules,” GES added.
